Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care across Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, OB Triage, Antepartum, and Normal Newborn settings
- Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries, including circulating in the OR
- Administer blood and blood products; manage drains, epidural pumps, and PCA pumps
- Administer medications including insulin and magnesium sulfate
- Perform adult IV starts and apply fetal heart monitoring (FHM) skills
- Float between care areas as needed, including high-risk antepartum, LDRP, couplet care, and OB-GYN; staffing ratio is 1:1–3
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license; compact license must be in hand at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of experience in LDRP, Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn care
- AWHONN Intermediate certification required
- BLS certification required
- FHM certification required
- NRP certification required
- Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible as a traveler; local candidates are accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- ACLS certification preferred
- Experience circulating in cesarean section procedures
- Experience in high-risk antepartum and high-risk Labor and Delivery settings
