Contract | Days | 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to laboring patients throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum phases
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring and other assessment tools
- Assist with and support vaginal and cesarean deliveries in collaboration with the obstetric care team
- Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and established clinical protocols
- Educate patients and families on labor progression, delivery expectations, and postpartum care
Required Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or compact licensure
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Prior experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
Preferred Experience / Skills
- AWHONN fetal monitoring certification (Intermediate or Advanced)
- Experience with high-risk obstetric patients
