Key Responsibilities
Provide direct nursing care for high-risk OB, antepartum, and postpartum patients in a 45-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms
Support and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
Administer and monitor IV drips including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
Maintain patient ratios of 1:1–2 in accordance with unit standards
Float across multiple hospital campuses as required
Participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as assigned by the unit
Required Qualifications
Active Iowa RN license or valid Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
Current and recent Labor & Delivery experience required; current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility required
Intermediate or Advanced EFM / AWHONN certification required
BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
ACLS certification (AHA) required
NRP certification required
EPIC EMR experience required
Must have completed at least one travel nursing assignment within the previous 12 months; first-time travelers will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience in postpartum / mother-baby care preferred
Current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level I trauma facility preferred
Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
