    Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

    Location

    Des Moines, IA

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift | Onsite | Float across multiple campuses required

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care for high-risk OB, antepartum, and postpartum patients in a 45-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms
    • Support and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
    • Administer and monitor IV drips including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
    • Maintain patient ratios of 1:1–2 in accordance with unit standards
    • Float across multiple hospital campuses as required
    • Participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as assigned by the unit
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Iowa RN license or valid Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
    • Current and recent Labor & Delivery experience required; current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility required
    • Intermediate or Advanced EFM / AWHONN certification required
    • BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
    • ACLS certification (AHA) required
    • NRP certification required
    • EPIC EMR experience required
    • Must have completed at least one travel nursing assignment within the previous 12 months; first-time travelers will not be considered
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • Experience in postpartum / mother-baby care preferred
    • Current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level I trauma facility preferred
    • Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
