Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (Nights)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for high-risk OB, antepartum, and postpartum patients in a 45-bed Labor & Delivery unit with 2 operating rooms
- Support and assist with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections
- Administer and monitor IV drips including magnesium, insulin, and pitocin
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:1–2 in accordance with unit standards
- Float across multiple hospital campuses as required
- Participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as assigned by the unit
Required Qualifications
- Active Iowa RN license or valid Compact/Multistate RN license at time of submission
- Current and recent Labor & Delivery experience required; current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level II trauma facility required
- Intermediate or Advanced EFM / AWHONN certification required
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- ACLS certification (AHA) required
- NRP certification required
- EPIC EMR experience required
- Must have completed at least one travel nursing assignment within the previous 12 months; first-time travelers will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience in postpartum / mother-baby care preferred
- Current or recent high-risk OB experience in a Level I trauma facility preferred
- Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
