Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and EDOB patients on a 26-bed Labor & Delivery unit
- Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for antepartum patients and 1:1 or 1:2 for actively laboring patients
- Assist with and support procedures including cesarean sections and cerclages
- Operate Alaris infusion pumps and document accurately within Meditech and CPN charting systems
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including charge nurses and Operating Room Technicians (ORT)
- Work autonomously and adapt flexibly to unit needs during night shift operations
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of current acute care Labor & Delivery RN experience (2 years preferred)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification or Intermediate Fetal Monitoring (FM) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Mother-baby or couplet care experience
- Antepartum and/or high-risk Labor & Delivery experience
- Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic unit environment
