Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care for Labor & Delivery patients
- Utilize the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing continuing education
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
Required Qualifications
- Active New Mexico Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Current BLS Certification
- Current ACLS Certification
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Certification
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor & Delivery setting
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to new environments and facility protocols
