    Job Title

    RN – Labor & Delivery (Women's Care Unit)

    Location

    Clearlake, CA | Acute Care

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (18:00–06:30) | 36 hours per week

    Key Responsibilities
    • Perform comprehensive, age-appropriate patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care for patients across the lifespan, including infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations
    • Administer medications, IV fluids, and controlled substances in accordance with established policies and procedures
    • Provide compassionate, safe, and effective nursing care to labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn patients, including newborn stabilization
    • Communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the patient care team, including patients, families, and physicians, and provide accurate end-of-shift reports
    • Document patient assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the clinical record using EPIC
    • Direct and delegate tasks to other healthcare team members under RN supervision, and respond promptly and professionally to emergency situations
    Required Qualifications
    • Current Registered Nurse license issued by the State of California
    • Minimum 3–4 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience with strong labor skills; postpartum experience required
    • Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
    • NRP certification required (must obtain within six months of start if not current)
    • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification required (must obtain within six months of start if not current)
    • EPIC EMR experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • STABLE certification strongly recommended; demonstrated newborn stabilization skills
    • ACLS certification preferred
    • Nursery experience at any level is appreciated
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
