    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 hours per week | Every other weekend required | Must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit serving both low-risk and high-risk (maternal fetal medicine) populations, including a certified nurse midwife population
    • Monitor and assess fetal and maternal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
    • Cross-train to Mother/Baby unit as needed
    • Float to NICU (feeders/growers) as required within scope of practice
    • Operate within a unit environment that includes 8 private labor rooms, 4 private triage beds, and 2 OB operating rooms, supporting approximately 2,000 annual deliveries
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
    • Fetal Monitoring certification
    • AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification
    • Epic EMR experience required
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • BSN preferred
    • Experience in high-risk obstetrics or maternal fetal medicine settings
    • Prior experience or comfort floating to Mother/Baby or NICU environments
