Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within a Labor and Delivery unit on a rotating day and night schedule
- Monitor and assess laboring patients, documenting progress and communicating changes to the care team
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries, supporting physicians and midwives throughout the process
- Administer medications and interventions per physician orders and unit protocols
- Rotate coverage for every other weekend and every other holiday as required by unit staffing needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Massachusetts or compact state eligibility
- Current BLS and NRP certifications
- Prior experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
- Ability to work rotating day and night shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
- Experience in a high-volume or academic medical environment
