    Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

    Schedule / Job Type

    Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM)

    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients including those presenting with labor, pre-eclampsia, PPROM, and OB ED conditions
    • Serve as C-section circulator as assigned
    • Perform initial newborn care following delivery
    • Operate specialized equipment including birthing tubs
    • Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
    • Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site or serving on a relief team during declared emergencies
    Required Qualifications
    • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
    • Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Beginner, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, and NRP
    • AHA-issued certifications required
    • Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license)
    • Current NURSYS report required and must be dated within 4 weeks of submission
    Preferred Experience / Skills
    • AWHONN Advanced certification
    • Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
