Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients including those presenting with labor, pre-eclampsia, PPROM, and OB ED conditions. Provide direct nursing care to labor and delivery patients including those presenting with labor, pre-eclampsia, PPROM, and OB ED conditions
Serve as C-section circulator as assigned
Perform initial newborn care following delivery
Operate specialized equipment including birthing tubs
Maintain a 1:2 patient ratio in accordance with unit standards
Respond to emergency events as directed by unit management, which may include remaining on-site or serving on a relief team during declared emergencies
Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal
Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as reflected on driver's license)
Current NURSYS report required and must be dated within 4 weeks of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
AWHONN Advanced certification
Prior travel nursing experience in a Labor and Delivery setting
