- Charge Nurse experience preferred
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Ability to work weekends every other week
Description:
The position is for a Labor and Delivery Charge Nurse.
The role requires working regularly in the Charge Nurse capacity.
This assignment involves a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit.
The unit consists of OB Triage, LDR rooms, OR suites, and PACU rooms.
Average daily deliveries are around 7 but can often reach up to 14 patients.
The OB Triage averages 4-5 third-trimester testing patients daily.
Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment with various patient needs.
The facility provides an interdisciplinary support system including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy services.
There is a focus on both high-risk antepartum care and labor management.
The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in a variety of nursing skills specific to labor and delivery.
This includes support for breastfeeding, neonatal resuscitation, and monitoring fetal heart rates.
The role may require working holidays as scheduled.
Time off requests will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
