Description:
Must have charge nurse experience for this role.
This position can expect to regularly work in the Charge Nurse position.
Must have RN license in hand for auto offer.
Assignment length is 13 or 26 weeks.
Shift options include 3x12 or 4x12 nights.
First-time travelers accepted.
Guaranteed hours are 60 hours per 2 weeks.
Travelers can be called off for 1, 12-hour shift per 2 weeks.
Floating within scope to meet facility needs may be required.
Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
Time off approved on an individual basis upon offer.
All requested time off must be included in submittal.
Unit information includes high-risk labor and delivery unit.
Average daily deliveries are around 7, but can go up to 14 patients with inductions and high-risk antepartum cases.
The average OB triage includes 4-5 third trimester testing patients, with an influx of triage patients each day.
The facility is an acute hospital with a total of 407 staffed beds.
It has a magnet designation and is recognized as a best hospital.
Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.
Special procedures include cervical cerclage, cesarean sections, and D&C.
Two references are required covering 1 year within the last 3 years during the compliance process and prior to start.
Applicants must have their license in hand before receiving an auto offer.
Charge experience is preferred or willing to train as charge.
Candidates will float within the hospital or to affiliate hospitals nearby.
Special equipment experience may be required.
