Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse – Alaska

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x12 Night shifts with every other weekend required. Guaranteed minimum of 60 hours per 2-week period.

- High-acuity Labor & Delivery unit with 10 LDR rooms, 3 OR suites, and 4 PACU rooms averaging 7 deliveries daily
- Comprehensive OB services including high-risk antepartum, obstetrical triage, and induction management
- Epic charting system in a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital with 407 staffed beds
- 13 or 26-week assignment lengths available with orientation provided
- Interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response, pharmacy, and phlebotomy services
- First-time travelers welcome with minimum 1 year of L&D experience
Requirements:
- Active Alaska Registered Nurse license (must be in hand prior to offer; pending licenses accepted for submission)
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate and AWHONN Advanced
- Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- Epic charting system experience required
- Charge nurse experience preferred or willingness to train for charge responsibilities
- Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
- Hepatitis B vaccination required (titers or declinations not accepted)
- Availability to work 2 out of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
- Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
