Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery Float Pool
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Travel Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract within the SHS Valley Traveler Float Pool. This role provides critical staffing support across multiple facilities in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon, Oregon, with a primary site prioritized but assignments subject to change based on facility needs.
The successful candidate will deliver comprehensive Labor & Delivery care, including labor management, delivery assistance, fetal monitoring, and postpartum care for both mothers and newborns. This position is ideal for a highly flexible professional comfortable with dynamic environments and travel between various points of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care for patients throughout the labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
- Perform continuous fetal monitoring and interpret results accurately.
- Assist with deliveries and provide immediate care to newborns.
- Deliver comprehensive postpartum care to mothers and newborns, including education and support.
- Float to various SHS Valley facilities in Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon as assigned.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and patient safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of recent, acute care experience in Labor & Delivery.
- High school diploma or equivalent (required due to College of American Pathologists (CAP) requirements for moderate complexity testing).
- Proficiency with Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Ability to travel to multiple hospital locations within the Corvallis, Albany, and Lebanon areas.
- Possession of a personal automobile for work-related travel.
Preferred Qualifications
- Fetal Monitoring Certification.
- STABLE certification.

Licensing Requirements
- Current, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Healthcare Provider Level (AHA).
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
