Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience in high-risk labor and delivery License: Must hold a valid compact nursing license Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: High risk experience Ability to work in fast-paced, high acuity environments Experience with electronic fetal monitoring Description: Locals will receive the same rate. Permanent candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months. All facilities honor active compact licenses. Functions in the role of Baby Nurse during deliveries and continues care of the newborn until transfer to postpartum. Floating to postpartum and antepartum units may be required. The average daily census is 15, with 500-600 deliveries per month. Candidates will be expected to circulate and provide newborn care, including assessments and injections. Experience is valued, and staffing will follow official guidelines. Preferred skills include labor and delivery, newborn assessments, and support for breastfeeding. Candidates must commit to working weekends and holidays as needed. Pre-approved time off will be considered on a case-by-case basis. References required covering the last year of work experience. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities when necessary.
