Certifications: AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, FHM, NRP, ACLS preferred.
Must-Have:
- Previous charge experience.
- Experience with patient ratios.
- Proficient in charting systems, specifically Epic.
- Skills in administration of blood products, high-risk delivery assistance, and starting IVs.
Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Labor and Delivery for a 13-week position.
This role involves providing care to obstetric patients in various stages of labor and post-partum recovery.
Nurses must be comfortable floating as needed between departments.
Key responsibilities include performing vaginal deliveries and cesarean deliveries, circulating in the operating room, and managing adult IVs.
Nurses will administer blood products and medications such as Insulin and Magnesium Sulfate as necessary.
Experience in high-risk antepartum and post-operative care is vital.
Candidates must demonstrate strong skills in pain assessment and management.
Nurses will be part of an interdisciplinary team and must be equipped to handle the daily demands of the unit.
The position requires commitment to working holidays as scheduled.
