- Ability to circulate and provide newborn care, including assessments and injections.
Description:
Seeking an experienced registered nurse for a labor and delivery position.
Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in labor and delivery, with emphasis on high-risk cases.
Current supervisory references are necessary for consideration.
Candidates should possess required certifications.
All candidates must pass a clinical review prior to submission.
The role requires functioning in a fast-paced environment.
Previous charge experience is preferred and candidates should be able to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Candidates may be required to float to sister facilities.
The average daily census is approximately 15 patients, with a monthly delivery rate of 500-600.
The unit operates with a high-risk, high-volume model and includes four operating rooms.
Nurses in this role will assist with midwifery clients and adult recovery services.
Candidates must demonstrate skills in anticipating and managing high-risk delivery scenarios.
Additional responsibilities include newborn assessments, managing care during delivery, and administering treatments and medications.
Candidates should be familiar with electronic fetal monitoring.
All submissions must reflect a readiness to work with diverse patient populations, including neonates and geriatrics.
Please note that travelers may be expected to float between facilities as needed.
