Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Pediatric, Nursery, Labor and Delivery Nurse Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum 5 years License: Current, valid RN license from the State of Wyoming in good standing with the Board of Nursing. Certifications: - Current, valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. - Current, valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification if performing circulating or recovery room for C-section. - Current, valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification if caring for Pediatrics. - Current, valid Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. Must-Have: Special care nursery and NICU experience required. Description: The Registered Nurse provides and coordinates patient care through assessment, evaluation, and treatment with a primary goal of achieving wellness and recovery. Assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all aspects of care for patients within the scope of practice are required. Education to patients according to their needs is an essential function of this role. Transcribing, utilizing, and implementing protocols and physician orders is necessary. Coordination of the healthcare team and delegation of appropriate tasks to ancillary personnel is expected. Other duties may be assigned as necessary. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Previous experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Excellent customer service skills are essential, including a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy, and a professional attitude. Effective communication with staff, managers, and the public, both verbally and in writing, is necessary. Demonstration of effective listening skills is required. Excellent organization, time management skills, and the ability to establish priorities are important. Exceptional problem-solving skills are needed. The ability to work effectively without immediate supervision is vital. Willingness to learn new computer software programs is required. Recognizing and protecting confidential information is necessary. Demonstrating ethical and legal accountability for the position is expected.
