The unit includes 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms. The nurse will circulate for OB-GYN procedures, manage post-op and pre-op care, scrub, and provide low-risk antepartum and labor & delivery support. Special procedures will include blood and blood products administration, cardioversion/defibrillation, and managing epidural and PCA pumps. The nurse will be responsible for assessing and managing pain and performing sterile vaginal exams. The staffing ratio for this unit is 1:1 to 1:3. Travelers may be expected to float to other areas based on skill set. Candidates must attend all deliveries and high-risk deliveries, as well as couplet care and support in the transition nursery. Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, and adults. References covering 1 year of relevant experience within the last 3 years are required.
