Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 26 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience License: Compact license required Certifications: Required: BLS, NRP. Preferred: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate. Must-Have: Candidates must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in high-risk environments. Candidates must have current supervisory references. Candidates must have proof of required certifications upon submission. Candidates must pass a clinical review. Description: Local candidates are considered at the same rate. Candidates with permanent roles at other facilities are eligible if separated for at least 3 months. High-risk experience is highly preferred, but candidates with 3 years or more may be considered if they have high-risk experience. First-time candidates are accepted. Pre-approved time off requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Travelers are required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed. Candidates may float to postpartum and antepartum units, and potentially to nearby facilities that provide mother/baby services. The average daily census is 15 patients, with 500-600 deliveries per month. There are 31 rooms and beds in the unit. Staffing follows AWHONN guidelines. The unit specializes in high-risk and high-volume labor and delivery. Candidates must be able to assist with various procedures and provide care for newborns. Candidates must be proficient in circulating and providing newborn care. Key responsibilities include administering treatments such as vitamin K injections and conducting newborn assessments. Candidates need to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is essential. Candidates are expected to float between facilities as needed. Refusal to float may result in contract termination. All RTO or specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront. Candidates may be required to report monthly work-related cell phone use if not provided by the client. Complete any required training modules prior to starting the assignment.
