Description:
Locals are accepted at the same rate.
Permanent candidates from other facilities are eligible for a travel contract if separated for at least 3 months.
Candidates must have high-risk experience.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Pre-approved time off will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
Work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
Floating is required to postpartum and antepartum.
Candidates may float to facilities that provide mother/baby care.
Responsibilities include caring for midwifery clients, private OB clients, adult recovery services, and community care clinics.
Experience with electronic fetal monitoring is mandatory.
Staffing will follow AWHONN guidelines.
The unit focuses on high-risk, high-volume labor and delivery, with four operating rooms.
Candidates must be able to work in a high-risk environment.
Duties include functioning in the role of baby nurse during delivery and providing care for newborns until transfer to postpartum.
Candidates must circulate and provide newborn care, including assessments, eye care, and vitamin K injections.
Average daily census is 15, with 500 to 600 deliveries per month.
The unit has 31 rooms and 31 beds.
Schedules are posted every 6 weeks to meet unit needs.
Candidates must be flexible with scheduling and may be expected to float between units.
Travelers may be expected to float to nearby facilities.
Refusal to float may result in contract termination.
Candidates must submit required documentation and references prior to starting.
