Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Consults with appropriate resources regarding complex care issues and discharge planning.

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor Delivery Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 48 Experience: Minimum of one year of nursing experience License: Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Must-Have: - Current and active Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification - Previous Labor & Delivery operating room experience - Ability to circulate C-sections - Ability to triage for obstetrics Description: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards. Reporting and accountable to the Nurse Manager/Director. Responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process in a hospital setting. Participates in identifying and meeting learning needs of self. Attends education programs based on identified learning needs. Utilizes patient education materials relevant to patient population. Assesses readiness to learn of the patient, family, and caregivers. Evaluates patient care outcomes and seeks guidance as needed. Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex problems. Performs bedside point-of-care testing as required for patient care plans.
