Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will provide care to patients during labor and delivery. They will assist with prenatal assessments and labor management. Nurses will be responsible for monitoring both maternal and fetal conditions. The nurse will educate and support families during the childbirth experience. Participation in quality improvement initiatives may be required. The nurse must comply with all facility policies and procedures. Floating within the Woman and Infant unit may be necessary according to patient needs. Weekends will be part of the normal schedule as determined by the unit. Certifications such as ACLS, AHA BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate are required. The role will involve administrative duties as well as direct patient care. Nurses should have experience with various labor support techniques. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for this position. The candidate must be competent in emergency procedures in maternal care.
