Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour; Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience License: Current RN License required Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Must-Have: Previous travel experience preferred Weekend coverage is required. Description: This role requires a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The nurse will work rotating shifts on various days of the week. Candidates must have at least 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience. Previous travel experience is preferred. The position will require floating within the Women and Infant unit as needed. The nurse will be responsible for the care and management of laboring patients. They will assist with deliveries and postpartum care. The nurse must adhere to safety protocols and provide patient education. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate are required. Candidates should be comfortable with high-acuity situations and multiple births. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:2 during shifts. Floating to other units may be required based on facility needs. The nurse should be knowledgeable about the procedures and practices in Labor and Delivery. All nurses must complete facility-specific modules during the first week of the assignment. Flexibility is required during peak times of the year as designated by the unit. Overall, the nurse will deliver compassionate care in a fast-paced environment.
