Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of combined Labor and Delivery and Postpartum experience, with demonstrated competency in both areas. License: Active California state license required. Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP, BSN Must-Have: - Cross-trained to rotate among multiple perinatal units. - Ability to float to Postpartum and other units as needed. - No request for time off in the first 3 weeks. Description: We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. This position requires the candidate to be part of a Perinatal Float Pool. The nurse will be required to rotate among different perinatal units. The role involves caring for high-risk OB patients, including those with gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia. Responsibilities include assisting with both vaginal and cesarean deliveries. Nurses must demonstrate proficiency in postpartum care. The position entails working nights and includes participation in weekend coverage as needed. Floating is mandatory, and travelers must be willing to float between campuses. Candidates will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care. Additional duties include patient education and support during and after delivery. This role requires robust assessment skills and the ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients effectively.
