TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Labor/Delivery RN in Stockton, California, 95204!

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, Advanced EFM Must-Have: CERNER experience required No first-time travelers Strong IV skills Description: Unit handles approximately 300 deliveries per month. Features 2 OB ED beds, 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor rooms, and 2 ORs. Follows state and AWHONN guidelines for nurse-patient ratios. Charge nurse typically does not take patients and there's a resource nurse for ST. OB techs are available with 2 per shift to assist with C-sections. Weekend requirement is every other weekend, with potential for more based on rotations. Holiday commitment is 2 out of 3 major holidays. No on-call requirement. Scrub color is provided. Telemetry services are not available. Ventilators are available for mothers and babies, but transfers occur for higher levels of care as needed. Laborist and anesthesia services are in-house 24/7. Pharmacy and respiratory therapy services are available 24/7. Shifts primarily scheduled at 7AM and 7PM. Floating is expected to postpartum and NICU as well. Floor-specific orientation consists of 2 shifts. Common diagnoses include high-risk obstetric cases with multiple comorbidities and multiple births. Neonatal surgeries are not performed at this facility. The unit is baby-friendly, emphasizing first-hour skin-to-skin contact. A NICU nurse is present for all high-risk deliveries alongside respiratory therapy. Understanding of documentation and care for perinatal initiatives is essential. The unit frequently accommodates surrogates and multiple births, requiring adaptability. Cancellation policy allows up to 4 shifts to be canceled within a 13-week assignment.
