Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery.
The nurse will work night shifts.
The job requires a minimum of 2 years of experience.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Local candidates are also welcome.
Holiday incentives are available for local candidates.
The nurse will be responsible for managing labor inductions, IUFDs, and multiple medication drips such as Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin.
The candidate should have experience with preterm labor, multiple gestations, preeclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhages.
The nurse must be able to circulate in the OR and administer epidurals.
Additionally, the nurse should be experienced in recovering C-sections.
The nurse will float within Women’s Services as needed.
There is a weekend requirement of every other weekend.
Patient ratios are 1:2 with 21 rooms and beds in the unit.
Candidates should be familiar with the use of EPIC and other electronic charting systems.
All RTO requests must be pre-approved, and additional time off after signing is not permitted.
Candidates must be open to floating within the facility as needed.
All nursing staff must adhere to the dress code, which stipulates only natural hair colors.
