Description:
This position offers an elevated seasonal rate from October until February.
Cancellations due to a rate change after agreement will be documented.
The unit consists of antepartum rooms, labor and high-risk rooms, and triage.
No on-call shifts are required.
Staff will float to postpartum as needed.
Experience with fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring is required.
Candidates must assist with C-sections and vaginal deliveries.
Staff is expected to provide couplet care for newborns and mothers in postpartum.
The facility performs 200-300 births per month.
Patient populations include neonates, adolescents, and adults.
Staffing ratios in the unit depend on acute care needs.
Interdisciplinary support is provided by various services including respiratory, interpretation, phlebotomy, and pharmacy.
Maintaining privacy is crucial as the facility serves high-profile individuals.
Candidates must be adaptable to work in all areas of Labor and Delivery.
Must commit to working 3 of 5 holidays.
All requests for time off and specific scheduling must be included during the submission process.
Refusal to float may result in contract termination.
Candidates will be supplied with communication devices at no cost.
All module completions are recorded as non-billable hours.
References are required covering the past year.
This job entails direct patient care and requires a strong background in Labor and Delivery nursing.
