**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery!**
**Job Description:**
- Shift hours: 7a-7p, alternating 7p-7a
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- On Call Requirement: None
- Charting: EPIC experience required; Non-Epic-CPN/GE Centricity
- RTO, Block & Special Scheduling Requests: Must submit requests upon submission
- Call off Policy: Up to three shifts may be canceled during a 13-week contract without charges for canceled hours
- Holiday Requirement: Must be available to work every other holiday, if needed
- First-time Travelers: Accepted
- Locals Accepted? Radius Rule: RN's within 75 miles of the facility are not accepted
**Required License and Certifications:**
- License: Must have an active New York Single State RN or LPN license (NY is not Compact)
- Required Certifications: OB-ACLS or ACLS, BLS, EFM certification, NRP
**Required Clinical Skills:**
- Assist with vaginal delivery
- Circulate for C-section
- Recover C-Section
- Magnesium Sulfate therapy
- Pitocin (oxytocin, Terbutaline)
- APGAR scores
- Baby Nurse (“Baby Catcher”)
- ID/Security Banding
- Radiant Warmers/Thermoregulation
- Foley catheter insertion/management
- Fundus/lochia/perineum care
- Post Partum Hemorrhage
- Pregnancy induced hypertension
- NST (Non Stress Tests)
- Use of EFM (External Fetal Heart Monitoring)
- Use of IUPC (Intrauterine pressure catheter) placement and calibration
**Unit Details and Floating:**
- Unit Details: Care for all pregnant patients at any gestational age
- Triage evaluates all pregnant patients and postpartum patients within 6 weeks of delivery
- Equipment: GE Fetal & Telemetry Monitors, "Monica" wireless fetal monitoring, Neopuff, Draeger newborn warmers
- Floating: Required to float within skillset
- Scrub Color: Hospital provided
