Job Summary

This role is for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) care. The successful candidate will join a highly trained team dedicated to providing comprehensive, family-centered care in a medically safe environment at a facility in Albany, Oregon.

The LDRP team provides specialized nursing care throughout the entire birthing process, including labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care for mothers, as well as comprehensive newborn care. Nurses on this unit are also trained in GYN surgical care and provide pediatric care.

This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a supportive environment focused on positive patient outcomes for mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases.
  • Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being during labor and delivery.
  • Provide immediate and ongoing care for newborns, including assessments and interventions.
  • Educate new mothers and families on newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
  • Assist with and provide care for GYN surgical patients.
  • Provide pediatric nursing care as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, medical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their families.
Required Qualifications
  • Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
  • AHA Basic
