Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 32 hours/week | 8-hour shifts | Every weekend required | Holidays required | Contract dates: 11/02/2026 - 01/02/2027 (hard start and hard end; no extension available)
Key Responsibilities- Float between Labor & Delivery (LDR) and Antenatal Care Unit (ACU), adapting to the clinical needs of each unit
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, antepartum patients, and high-risk obstetric populations
- Perform and interpret fetal monitoring in accordance with LDR unit requirements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver safe, patient-centered care across multiple care settings
- Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications- Active RN license valid in Rhode Island (or applicable compact license)
- BLS certification (AHA)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Fetal monitoring certification (required for LDR assignment)
- Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Antepartum, or High-Risk OB
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
- Flu vaccine required - no exemptions
- COVID-19 vaccine required - no exemptions
Preferred Experience / Skills- Prior float pool or multi-unit experience demonstrating adaptability across care settings
- Experience with high-risk obstetric and antepartum patient populations
- Candidates with no pre-scheduled time off requests will be given preference
