LDRP RN – Labor & Delivery – Night Shift – Relocation Candidates Welcome
We are seeking experienced, labor-trained Registered Nurses (RNs) to support a busy obstetrics department at a critical access hospital in Sidney, Montana. This role involves providing comprehensive care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns throughout labor, delivery, and recovery.
The ideal candidate will be confident in obstetric nursing, fetal monitoring, newborn care, and responding to pregnancy and delivery complications. Nurses should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and assisting other departments when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the postpartum period.
- Care for newborn infants following delivery.
- Perform obstetric triage and non-stress tests (NSTs).
- Serve as the second nurse during deliveries and assist with overflow patients.
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond appropriately to complications.
- Collaborate with physicians, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Support mothers and newborns during recovery and postpartum care.
- Float occasionally to Medical-Surgical, Critical Care Unit (CCU), or Emergency Room (ER) departments as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and follow established nursing standards and safety procedures.
- Use the EPIC EMR system as specified in the job description.
