Must-Have: Experience with patient ratios of 1:2.
Must have skills in administration of blood products, antepartum care, postpartum care, and emergency procedures.
Description:
Start date within the next 3-5 weeks.
May consider 36 hours per week.
Patient care primarily focuses on active labor, induction, and various delivery methods.
Nurses are expected to provide support for breastfeeding and lactation.
Nurses will monitor fetal heart rates and perform assessments on newborns.
The role includes assistance with cesarean sections and other surgical procedures.
Effective communication with interdisciplinary support teams is essential.
Compliance with infection control protocols and safety guidelines is mandatory.
Participation in discharge teaching for new parents is required.
Nurses are expected to manage medications including IV infusions and anticoagulation therapy.
Experience with fetal monitoring systems is preferred, although not required.
Candidates must be prepared for a mandatory drug screening upon arrival.
Avoidance of any products that could result in a positive drug screening is necessary.
Lab items must be completed within 72 hours of accepting the position.
This position requires adaptability and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must be willing to float between various roles as needed, based on unit demands.
