Certifications: BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred.
Must-Have:
Minimum of 2 years of high-risk Labor and Delivery experience.
Experience in Antepartum care, patient care for high-risk pregnancy diagnoses, and neonatal resuscitation.
Ability to recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns and perform sterile vaginal exams.
Experience in circulating for C-sections and managing postpartum care.
Description:
Seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse with specialized skills in high-risk obstetrics.
The role includes providing care in Antepartum and Labor & Delivery settings.
Key responsibilities include performing non-stress tests, sterile vaginal exams, and fetal monitoring.
Nurses will assist with high-risk deliveries and manage emergencies such as neonatal arrest.
Experience with medications such as anticoagulants, antihypertensives, and magnesium sulfate is essential.
Understanding of pain management techniques, including epidural anesthesia and IV sedation, is required.
The nurse will provide postpartum care, including breastfeeding support and management of possible complications.
The position may require floating to Mother/Baby care.
Every third weekend coverage is necessary, and the average daily census is approximately 15 patients.
Candidates should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on high-level care.
The team will conduct patient assessments and implement effective care plans while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
