Job Summary
Join a dedicated LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) team at Albany General Hospital in Albany, Oregon. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive, family-centered care to expectant mothers, new mothers, and newborns in a medically safe environment.
The LDRP unit is equipped to handle all phases of labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care, including specialized newborn care. Additionally, the team provides GYN surgical care and pediatric services, offering a diverse and challenging clinical experience.
As an LDRP Registered Nurse, you will be an integral part of a highly trained medical staff, ensuring exceptional patient outcomes and a supportive environment for families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients throughout the labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum phases.
- Deliver specialized care for newborns, including assessment and intervention.
- Assist with and provide post-operative care for GYN surgical patients.
- Manage pediatric patient care as required by the unit.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a family-centered and medically safe environment.
- Educate patients and families on various aspects of maternal and newborn care.
Required Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon.
- Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA).
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
