Job Summary
Join our dedicated nursing team as a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse in Aberdeen, Washington. This role involves providing comprehensive care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, supporting new mothers in the postpartum period, and caring for newborns in the nursery. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing various stages of childbirth and ensuring optimal outcomes for both mother and baby.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert nursing care to laboring mothers, including monitoring fetal heart tones, administering medications, and assisting with deliveries.
- Deliver comprehensive postpartum care, assessing maternal recovery and educating new mothers on infant care and breastfeeding.
- Perform skilled nursing duties for newborns in the nursery, including assessments, vital sign monitoring, and initial infant care.
- Collaborate effectively with obstetricians, neonatologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient documentation in compliance with facility standards.
Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Minimum of relevant experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Nursery units.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Current Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to scrub for C-sections or other obstetric procedures.
- STABLE program certification.
- Proficiency with Meditech Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Licensing Requirements
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Washington.
- Multi-state licenses may be accepted with the following verifications:
- Completion of an approved 6-hour suicide training course.
- Verification of demographics through Nursys.
