# Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery – KansasStart Date: September 3, 2026
Location: Wichita, Kansas
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night Shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AMHighlights:
  • Travel RN position in a 29-bed Birthing Center with dedicated Labor & Delivery focus
  • Patient ratios of 4-6:1 with collaborative team including Charge Nurse and 2-3 RNs per night shift
  • EMR system: Meditech with CPN monitoring for fetal surveillance
  • Exposure to diverse case mix including high-risk pregnancies, post-operative gynecological care, and fetal monitoring
  • Modern equipment including Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, and point-of-care glucose monitoring
  • Supportive work environment with experienced, tenured staff committed to quality patient care
Requirements:
  • Minimum 1 year of current acute care Postpartum experience required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • Active RN license in good standing
  • OB, Med-Surg, or GYN experience strongly preferred
Typical Procedures & Patient Population:
  • Post-operative gynecological and urogynecology surgeries
  • High-risk pregnancy management (PPROM, preeclampsia, placenta previa, preterm labor)
  • Fetal monitoring including non-stress tests (NSTs)
  • GYN oncology post-operative care
  • Women's health medical-surgical care and post-partum complication management
  • Care for NICU mothers and ectopic pregnancy patients
