Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care for laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns throughout the LDRP continuum
  • Perform triage assessments and non-stress tests (NSTs)
  • Serve as second nurse at deliveries and manage overflow patients
  • Collaborate with physicians, pediatricians, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver patient-centered care
  • Support patients experiencing complications during pregnancy, birth, or postpartum recovery
  • Float as needed to Med/Surg, CCU, or the Emergency Department; utilize EPIC EMR
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Must be labor-trained with demonstrated Labor & Delivery experience
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
  • Fetal Monitoring certification at Intermediate level or above required
  • Willingness to be placed on-call by the OB manager up to 3 times per 13-week contract period as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience working in a Critical Access Hospital setting
  • Comfort floating to Med/Surg, CCU, or Emergency Department environments
  • Proficiency with EPIC EMR
