Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor and Delivery, charge experience preferred License: Active state nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, Basic AWHONN Must-Have: - Charge nurse experience preferred - Experience with fetal heart monitoring Description: The role involves providing care in the Labor and Delivery unit. Charge nurse experience is preferred for effective unit management. Ratios will vary between 1:1 to 1:2. The department manages deliveries and patient safety. Recognizing and treating abnormal fetal heart rate patterns is essential. Clinicians may float to the Mother-Baby unit when needed. Every clinician is required to work every other weekend. All certifications and licensure must be maintained throughout employment. Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 is required. Candidates must possess strong communication skills and be team-oriented. Floating to other units is possible to support facility needs. RTO greater than seven days needs prior approval. Compliance with state regulations and unit protocols is mandatory. This position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic environment. Strong clinical judgment and skills in a high-paced setting are essential.
