Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Postpartum Registered Nurse – North Dakota
Start Date: October 24, 2026
Location: Bismarck, North Dakota
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with occasional day shifts; rotating weekends and holidays required
Highlights:
- 19-bed unit providing comprehensive care for labor and delivery, postpartum, and gynecological surgical patients
- Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for L&D, 1:3 for mother/baby couplets, varying ratios for combination assignments
- EPIC charting system with OBIX documentation and centralized monitoring for L&D
- 36-hour structured orientation program for traveling clinicians
- Opportunity to work with high-risk obstetric patients and advanced fetal monitoring technology
- Acute care setting with potential to assist in newborn nursery and NICU as needed
Requirements:
- Active RN license
- Minimum 3 years of recent experience in Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Gynecology
- BLS/CPR, ACLS, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required
- STABLE certification preferred but not required
- Willingness to float to newborn nursery and NICU
- Willingness to work primarily night shifts with some day shift flexibility
- Must reside outside an 80-mile radius from the facility
- Proficiency in fetal monitoring and high-risk obstetric nursing care
