The position includes managing antepartum care and anticoagulation therapy. The nurse will engage in triaging obstetrical patients. A commitment to maintaining isolation precautions and using personal protective equipment is necessary. The expected patient ratio is 2 patients at a time. Weekend shifts are required, with 4-6 shifts per 6 weeks. The unit has a daily census that includes neonates and adults. The environment is supportive, with interdisciplinary teams available. The nurse will be expected to float to similar units based on facility needs.
