Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses and develop individualized care plans
  • Implement and evaluate care plans, coordinating delivery across the healthcare team to promote patient safety and positive outcomes
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare providers to deliver care in a safe, healing, and patient-centered environment
  • Provide health education and information directly to patients, families, and treatment team members
  • Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
  • Delegate and coordinate duties among healthcare team members using critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) certification
  • Minimum of two years of recent Labor and Delivery or acute care nursing experience
  • EPIC electronic health record experience required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Prior experience in an acute care facility setting
  • Familiarity with coordinating care for high-acuity Labor and Delivery patients
