**Exciting Opportunity for Compassionate RN in LDRP/OB - Nights!**
**Job Description:**
- Join a dynamic team delivering high-quality, patient- and family-centered care as a Registered Nurse I (RN I).
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans that ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Deliver direct patient care across all ages, guiding families with clear, culturally sensitive education to support health literacy.
- Supervise ancillary team members, including licensed practical nurses and nursing assistants, while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record for seamless patient care.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including physicians and therapists to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in exciting quality improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development opportunities.
- Be flexible and float to different departments as needed, with supportive orientation and training to ease transitions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure smooth hospital operations and fulfill patient needs.
**General Qualifications:**
- Hold a current New Mexico RN license or an active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license.
- Possess current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent).
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Bring excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills to the table.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients of all ages.
- Be a strong team player with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Show commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning.
**Physical, Environmental & Psychological Considerations:**
- Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
- Work primarily in a temperature-controlled hospital setting with occasional exposure to varied stimuli and emotionally challenging situations.
- Physically capable of lifting, positioning, and transferring patients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment.
- Maintain strong problem-solving and coping skills while working effectively under stress and responding calmly to emergencies.
**Department-Specific Qualifications for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP):**
- Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required.
- OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months.
- SAFER NM Technician certification preferred.
- Skilled in all aspects of perinatal care, labor support, and newborn assessment.
- Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance.
**Shift Information:**
- 12 hour NIGHTS with required holiday coverage.
**Minimum Years of Experience:**
- 1 year
**Certifications / Requirements:**

- NRP
