Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3×12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) | Every other weekend expected
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care for high-risk labor and delivery patients
- Manage high-risk antepartum patients and perform triage assessments
- Circulate in the OR for cesarean sections and other surgical procedures
- Perform intermediate to advanced fetal monitoring in accordance with AWHONN standards
- Deliver newborn and infant care as part of the labor and delivery team
- Float to postpartum unit as needed based on staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience; most recent experience must be within the last 6 months
- Experience in a hospital with a minimum of 150 births per month
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
- NRP certification (AHA or ARC)
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification - Beginner level minimum; Intermediate or Advanced accepted
- Proficiency with Epic EMR
- Must live within 50 miles of the facility to be eligible as a local candidate; candidates beyond 50 miles are eligible as travelers
Preferred Experience / Skills- Intermediate or Advanced AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification
- Experience with CPN/QS systems
- Background in high-risk antepartum nursing
