Description:
Position available for a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse.
Start date is ASAP.
Ratios are 1:1 for patient care.
Candidates with three years of experience in Labor and Delivery are preferred.
First-time travelers are accepted.
Weekend shifts are mandatory.
No on-call requirements are applicable.
Candidates may float within the hospital but will not float to sister facilities.
Services will accommodate block scheduling.
Local candidates are welcome, but pending licenses are not accepted.
One week maximum for time off restrictions.
This role encompasses care for childbearing individuals and newborns across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages.
The facility is a high-risk Level 3 Perinatal Center with approximately 150 births per month, serving a population with complex medical needs.
Outpatient services are also available when clinics are closed.
Two operating rooms are available on the unit for C-sections and postpartum procedures.
A second Labor and Delivery RN will be assigned for "baby catching" for unproblematic deliveries.
Various complexities, including high-risk pregnancies, will be encountered in this setting.
Experience in high-acuity patients is preferred.
Specialized procedures include assisting with Cesarean sections and intravenous therapy.
Candidates must be capable of circulating during C-sections and maintaining necessary documentation.
