Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a 16-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
  • Manage high-risk obstetric patients and provide immediate newborn care
  • Assist with and support procedures including vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst
  • Operate Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
  • Document patient care using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink systems
  • Float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
  • High-risk obstetric experience required
  • Immediate newborn care experience required
  • Active RN license applicable to the state of North Carolina
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
  • BLS and/or ALS certification required
  • Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Circulating experience in Labor & Delivery
  • Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink documentation systems
