Description:
This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery specialty.
The unit comprises 16 beds and a diverse team of approximately 120 staff members.
Staffing includes charge nurses, patient care technicians, certified surgical technologists, and registered nurses.
Patient ratios on the unit are typically 1:1 or 1:2.
Equipment utilized includes Baxter Pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring systems.
Electronic medical records are maintained using Cerner and Fetal ink.
Candidates must possess a strong skill set in Labor and Delivery.
Experience in high-risk situations and immediate newborn care is essential.
Preferred qualifications include circulating experience.
The ideal candidate will be outgoing, friendly, and adaptable.
Typical procedures performed in this unit include vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst.
Weekends and on-call shifts are available upon approval.
