Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Night Shift | 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients in a 16-bed unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Manage high-risk obstetric patients and provide immediate newborn care
- Assist with and support procedures including vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-Hyst
- Operate Baxter pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
- Document patient care using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink systems
- Float to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed
Required Qualifications- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery nursing experience
- High-risk obstetric experience required
- Immediate newborn care experience required
- Active RN license applicable to the state of North Carolina
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
- BLS and/or ALS certification required
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required
Preferred Experience / Skills- Circulating experience in Labor & Delivery
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink documentation systems
