Key Responsibilities • Intrapartum & Antepartum Care: Deliver comprehensive care for high-risk antepartum and laboring patients, continuously monitoring maternal and fetal status. • Newborn & Perinatal Support: Provide skilled care during labor, delivery, and immediate post-birth recovery, including newborn assessment and resuscitation support. • Assessment & Interventions: Perform continuous clinical evaluations, execute therapeutic nursing interventions, and maintain precise documentation in alignment with hospital and acuity standards. • Evidence-Based Advocacy: Support and adopt evidence-based practices and clinical innovations in care delivery to improve patient outcomes. • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with attending physicians, certified nurse-midwives, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care transitions. Position Qualifications Mandatory Requirements • RN Licensure: Active New Jersey State RN License or active Compact / Multi-State Nursing License. • Core Certifications: o BLS: Active Basic Life Support (American Heart Association only). o NRP: Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification. • Clinical Skills & Training: Advanced AWHONN or Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) competency. • Experience: Minimum 1+ year of dedicated Labor & Delivery / Antepartum nursing experience (3 years preferred). • Soft Skills: Proven competency in immediate newborn care and family-centered education. Education Requirements • Required Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN). • Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Preferred Certifications • ACLS: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AHA).
