Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care within the Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) unit during night shift hours
  • Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status using electronic fetal monitoring throughout labor and delivery
  • Assist with and respond to obstetric emergencies, applying neonatal resuscitation protocols as needed
  • Float within the LDR unit as required to meet patient care needs
  • Participate in weekend and holiday coverage on an as-needed basis
Required Qualifications
  • Active Minnesota RN license
  • BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
  • EFM certification - must hold one of the following combinations: Basic + Intermediate, Basic + Advanced, or Intermediate + Advanced
  • Minimum 2 years of Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) experience
  • Must be willing to float within the LDR unit
  • No more than 7 days of requested time off (RTO)
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience with high-acuity obstetric patients
  • Familiarity with on-unit float responsibilities in a labor and delivery setting
